Assumed knowledge:

  • This training course combines theoretical concepts with practical examples based on real-world AI applications, enabling participants to understand the practical aspects of AIMS implementation.
  • The course includes essay-type exercises and multiple-choice quizzes, some of which are scenario-based.
  • Participants are encouraged to collaborate and engage in meaningful discussions with fellow students while solving quizzes and exercises.
  • The quiz format closely mirrors the certification exam format, ensuring participants are well prepared for the exam.

Training Materials

Participants will receive training materials containing over 400 pages of explanatory information, examples, best practices, exercises, and quizzes. The materials are available electronically via the KATE application. All documentation can be downloaded and printed using the KATE app.

Examination

The “PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer” certification exam fully complies with the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Programme (ECP). The exam covers verification of the following competency domains:

  • DOMAIN 1 | Fundamental principles and concepts of the Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS)
  • DOMAIN 2 | Requirements for the Artificial Intelligence Management System
  • DOMAIN 3 | Planning the implementation of AIMS based on ISO/IEC 42001
  • DOMAIN 4 | Implementing AIMS based on ISO/IEC 42001
  • DOMAIN 5 | Monitoring and measuring AIMS based on ISO/IEC 42001
  • DOMAIN 6 | Continual improvement and preparation for the AIMS certification audit

The exam consists of 80 multiple-choice questions (a, b, c) and is “open book,” meaning reference materials can be used, such as a printed copy of the ISO standard, PECB training materials, personal notes from the course, or a printed language dictionary. The exam lasts 3 hours and can be taken online or in person. If the exam is not passed, it can be retaken free of charge within 12 months.
