Terms and conditions
General Provisions
These General Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between ICT Pro, s.r.o., Company ID 46971441, VAT ID CZ46971441, with its registered office at Sochorova 3209/38, 616 00 Brno-Žabovřesky, registered with the Regional Court in Brno under File C 7301 ("ICT Pro"), and the customer (the "Customer"). Further information about ICT Pro is available at www.ictpro.cz.
By placing an order, the Customer confirms that they have read and expressly accepted the version of these terms valid when the order was submitted. Purchasing ICT Pro products does not grant any right to use the registered trademarks, trade names or logos of ICT Pro or its partners unless otherwise agreed in writing. Training materials may not be distributed to third parties or used for the Customer's own competing training activities.
Course Registration
Registrations are accepted by email or through the form on this website and are binding. Places are allocated in the order in which registrations are received. The Customer receives an automatic acknowledgement immediately after registering. Final confirmation of the date, joining instructions and further details are normally sent one to two weeks before the course starts. If the selected course is full, our customer service team will offer alternative dates.
Payment Terms
After the order and course date have been confirmed, the Customer receives a pro forma invoice for the course fee, payable by bank transfer. Services for established corporate customers may be invoiced after the course. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are due by the date shown, normally within 14 days.
Course prices generally include:
- the services of a qualified instructor and course preparation, including agreed adaptation of the syllabus;
- a book or printed or electronic student manual where specified in the course description;
- course administration, attendance records and a certificate of completion;
- results and feedback for the commissioning organisation on request;
- a notepad and pen;
- lunch where expressly included in the course price, and refreshments during breaks; and
- use of ICT Pro training facilities, computers and other standard equipment.
Sphere cardholders
Holders of a valid activated Sphere card receive 10% off the standard course price; VIP cardholders receive 15% off. Sphere discounts cannot be combined with other ICT Pro discounts or special offers and apply only to public courses, not private company training. To claim the discount, enter the card number in the Notes field of the registration form or include it in your registration email. The reduced price will be applied after the card has been verified.
Cancellation Terms
Courses and seminars
A course may be cancelled or moved free of charge by written notice received at least five working days before it begins. For Oracle, Cisco Systems, Citrix, IBM, JBoss, ITIL, PRINCE2, Sybase and VMware courses, at least ten working days' notice is required.
If non-attendance is reported two to four working days before the course starts, 50% of the fee is charged. If it is reported one working day or less before the start, the full fee is charged. The participant may still use the Knowledge Guarantee to attend a later delivery of the same course free of charge.
For private company training that must be postponed, we will try to agree another suitable date and do not normally impose a cancellation charge. If ICT Pro has already incurred unavoidable costs, such as equipment rental or instructor accommodation, we will agree with the Customer how those costs will be covered.
ICT Pro may cancel a course five days before it begins, for example if there are not enough registered participants. Everyone affected will be informed promptly and offered an alternative date. Where there is limited demand, we may also offer an individual private course on mutually acceptable terms.
Tests and examinations
A test booked through ICT Pro may be cancelled or moved only by written electronic notice received no later than 16:00 two working days before the scheduled test.
Conferences and events
A conference or event may be cancelled free of charge by written notice received more than 14 working days before it begins.
Course Organisation
Courses are normally delivered at the ICT Pro training centres at Sochorova 38 in Brno or Líbalova 1 in Prague. By agreement, courses may also be held at the Customer's premises, at a partner training centre or in other premises rented by ICT Pro or the Customer. See the Contact section for details of our training locations.
Course Content
Standard course content
We guarantee the published content of a standard course only where the course proceeds under normal conditions and all participants meet the stated prerequisites.
Flexible delivery
Our courses are interactive. Instructors may respond to the needs of the group by adding relevant topics or adjusting the content and pace. This may include adapting the course to the abilities, experience and prior knowledge of most participants.
Content coverage guarantee
Because of this flexibility, the delivered content may differ from the published outline—for example, where a group needs more time on foundational topics. We nevertheless guarantee that at least 75% of the published content will be covered during a public course. This does not apply where all participants expressly request a different focus.
Remedy
If less than 75% of the published content is covered during a public course for reasons not caused by participant requests or the agreed need for flexibility, ICT Pro will agree appropriate compensation with the affected Customer.
Complaints
When a complaint may be made
Instructor arriving more than 15 minutes late: delay caused by circumstances outside the instructor's control, such as public transport disruption, a traffic accident or force majeure, is not considered a failure by the instructor. Where possible, the missed time may be made up by agreement with participants.
Insufficient subject knowledge: delivery is based on the course outline. Repeatedly having to search for basic information or providing incorrect or invented information may constitute insufficient knowledge. If participants agree to explore topics beyond the syllabus, reasonable research and preparation during the course is not considered a failure, provided it does not take a disproportionate amount of time.
Hardware failure: ICT Pro is not responsible for hardware at external Customer premises or for equipment belonging to participants.
Instructor unavailable: ICT Pro is not responsible for events of force majeure, including sudden serious illness, accident or death.
Loss of the right to complain
A complaint cannot be upheld where the problem was caused by the Customer. Participants must meet the prerequisites stated in the course description. If a participant registers without the required knowledge and consequently does not benefit from the course, this is not considered a failure by the instructor.
Knowledge Guarantee
Graduates of standard public courses delivered by ICT Pro at our training centres or online may repeat the same course free of charge. Registration for the repeat course must be made within 12 months of the final day of the original course. The guarantee cannot be used to move to a newer version of the product, and a participant repeating a course does not receive another complimentary book or manual.
Organisational Changes
ICT Pro may move a course date for reasons outside its control, including force majeure, interruption of the electricity supply or sudden instructor illness. ICT Pro may also cancel a date if the required minimum number of participants has not registered. The Customer will be informed no later than five working days before the course begins. This does not apply to dates expressly marked as guaranteed.
Copyright
Making or sharing audio or video recordings of classroom or online courses without ICT Pro's prior written consent is expressly prohibited. A breach may be subject to a contractual penalty of CZK 100,000.
Personal Data
ICT Pro states that personal data supplied by the Customer will be collected and processed only for the purpose of providing ICT Pro services and will be handled in accordance with applicable data-protection law. By submitting a registration, the Customer agrees to the processing of the personal data required to enter into and perform the contractual relationship. Detailed information is provided in the separate Privacy Policy.
