Apache Cassandra (NOSQL1)

Databases, NoSQL and Big Data

This course covers management of the distributed Apache Cassandra database from a DevOps viewpoint. It explains cluster installation, deployment, and continuous monitoring, plus practical troubleshooting. Topics include installation, monitoring, and operations.

It covers data modeling and architecture to help design scalable applications, with emphasis on partitioning, clustering columns, replication, and consistency. You will learn read/write paths, compaction and tuning. Key concepts: data model, replication, read/write.

THIS TRAINING COURSE WILL HELP YOU:

  • Manage and monitor Cassandra clusters
  • Install and configure nodes and VMs
  • Design NoSQL data models for Cassandra
  • Tune read/write paths and compaction
  • Plan replication and scale clusters

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

  • DevOps engineers and SREs
  • Database administrators (DBAs)
  • Backend developers using distributed DBs
  • Technical architects for scalable apps
