This course introduces participants to practical MySQL and MariaDB administration. It covers core tasks such as installation of the server, routine backup and recovery procedures, and basic user management, with hands-on examples to ensure reliable day-to-day operation.

The course covers managing storage engines such as InnoDB and MyISAM, using command-line tools, configuring storage and transactions, and maintaining the internal mysql system database including upgrades and consistency checks.
