This course introduces participants to the MySQL database and the MariaDB branch, teaching core skills for writing SQL queries, creating and modifying tables, and understanding basic RDBMS concepts needed by developers and DBAs.

It covers MySQL installation, core SQL syntax and the gap between ANSI SQL and dialects, essential commands (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE), table design, joins, subqueries, referential integrity and storage engines.
