PostgreSQL – Replication and High Availability (PSTGR3)

Databases, PostgreSQL

Practical course on PostgreSQL replication and high availability that combines concise theory with hands-on labs. Participants learn deployment patterns, testing methods and operational procedures to design, deploy and run resilient database systems in on-prem and cloud environments.

It covers configuration of streaming and logical replication, deploying and managing Patroni clusters and using DCS backends (etcd, Consul, Kubernetes) for leader election and coordination. Practical tasks address failover, recovery, replica imaging, migration and upgrades.

THIS TRAINING COURSE WILL HELP YOU:

  • Understand synchronous and asynchronous replication principles
  • Configure streaming and logical replication in PostgreSQL
  • Configure Patroni and manage clusters with patronictl
  • Use DCS (etcd, Consul, Kubernetes) for leader election and coordination
  • Design failover, recovery, bootstrap, replica imaging and migration

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

  • Database administrators (DBAs) managing PostgreSQL
  • Backend developers working on data-driven applications
  • DevOps and SRE engineers responsible for operations and HA
  • Infrastructure and cloud engineers deploying databases
  • IT architects designing resilient database solutions
