This course presents modern approaches to designing and implementing web services in Java, covering both REST and SOAP using standard Java SE and Java EE APIs. You will learn to model and exchange data using XML, JSON and XSD schemas.

Hands-on labs show how to implement JAX-WS services for client and server, integrate with Spring, and build REST APIs with JAX‑RS and Spring MVC. You will practice testing, monitoring and securing services for reliable deployments.
