This course is part of the Synology Intensive Training (SIT) program. During the course, you will explore a wide range of Synology tools for productivity and collaboration. The training focuses on practical business scenarios and is designed not only for administrators but also for everyday business users of Synology. Upon successfully passing the online certification test at the end of the training, you will receive the official Synology Collaboration Architect certification.

Through numerous hands-on exercises, you will learn how to use Synology Drive to synchronize your organization’s data across various devices and locations. You will become familiar with key technologies and configuration options. We will show you how to further optimize inter-site data synchronization by combining Synology Drive, Drive ShareSync, and HybridShare. You will also learn how to securely share documents with users outside your organization. Where traditional synchronization tools like Synology Drive reach their limits, Synology Office steps in. In this course, you will practice real-time collaborative editing of documents, spreadsheets, and presentations using Synology Office. You will also get acquainted with Synology Chat, which enables communication and collaboration, including with external guests. The course concludes with a brief introduction to Synology Note Station, Synology Contacts, and Synology Calendar.

Certification

All DSM Architect, Backup Architect, Productivity Architect, Surveillance Architect, ActiveProtect Architect, and Collaboration Architect courses conclude with a Synology certification. This 60-minute test is taken anytime after the training, and participants receive their results right after completion. All participants who successfully pass the certification test will receive an official certificate and will be able to use the Synology logo.

The obtained Synology certification is valid exclusively in the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. If you are from another country and require official certification, please let us know and we will refer you to the appropriate Synology training center.

Recertification

Please note that the certificate typically has a limited validity period, which means you will need to undergo recertification at regular intervals (e.g., every two years).

Course Format

The course is delivered in Czech or English in a hybrid format, meaning it is held both in person and virtually, and each participant can freely choose their preferred learning format. All participants are provided with access to online labs where practical exercises are conducted.

The course is available for groups of 6–12 participants, ensuring sufficient individual attention and the necessary level of interactivity for every participant, including time for questions.

Learning Approach

  • The training includes practical exercises and continuous sharing of the instructor’s experiences and insights with participants.
  • SIT trainings are conducted by our certified trainers and are held primarily in Brno, or online in a blended (hybrid) format.
  • Each training session consists of standard curriculum content and practical demonstrations. The DSM Architect, Backup Architect, Productivity/Collaboration Architect, Surveillance Architect and ActiveProtect Architect courses conclude with a final Synology certification test.

Sit Program

The SIT program offers official Synology training courses where professional certified trainers teach you how to get the most out of your Synology NAS. Now available are two-day intensive SIT trainings: DSM Architect, Backup Architect, Productivity Architect, Collaboration Architect, Surveillance Architect and ActiveProtect Architect training modules, all with certification options. The courses focus on planning and executing Synology NAS deployment projects. You will learn how to plan and scale hardware and properly configure it for different network environments. You will also learn about system security and maintenance. You will also learn how to synchronize central data with clients and other sites, edit documents and spreadsheets in collaboration with teams, and set up your own mail and chat server.

What does the environment for in-person IT courses look like?We hold training courses in our own classrooms equipped with modern computer equipment for each participant and a large projection screen. Each workstation is fitted with a powerful computer for seamless practical exercises, and the environment supports a calm, friendly atmosphere during training.

Do I need to bring my own laptop to the classroom IT course?Our training rooms are fully equipped, so you do not need to bring your own laptop. A modern computer with all necessary hardware and software is ready for you at your workstation.
