This hands-on course focuses on practical use of Power Apps, Microsoft’s low-code platform for building custom apps to digitalize and automate business processes. You will apply simple formulas and logic and work with real data structures.

If you think logically and see process connections, this training shows how to turn ideas into working apps. Learn to design interfaces, add useful features and automate flows so you can deliver self-service solutions with Power Apps and Power Automate.

    3. Controls used in the app and their properties
    4. Explanation of commands and formulas
  • New app from scratch
    1. Choosing the environment
    2. Create a new tablet app
    3. Requests overview screen — visual design
    4. Controls and how to change visual properties
    5. Requests overview — controls and functionalities
    6. New request screen — form and visual field settings
    7. New request screen — features (prefilled fields, notifications, etc.)
    8. Request detail screen — form, gallery with variable height
    9. Request detail screen — behaviors (conditional edit rights by user, etc.)
  • Power Automate
    1. Flow to send a notification for a new request — understanding the trigger and steps
    2. Building a deep link into the app
  • Start screen with a parameter
    1. Reading a parameter from the URL
    2. Conditional selection of the initial screen
  • Publishing, sharing and exposing apps
    1. Saving vs publishing
    2. Granting access to the app and its data
    3. Options for embedding the app in different locations
Assumed knowledge:
Experience with Office 365 and SharePoint (document libraries, lists, basic permissions) and basic awareness of Power Platform.
