This course introduces the Linux operating system, covering installation, distribution choices and practical setup. You will learn package and repository management with yum/dnf/apt and the basics of configuring system files and services for daily use.

The course covers core administration: filesystems, disk management and mounting, permissions for users and groups, plus systemd service control. You will also learn monitoring techniques and working with system logs and SSH security.
