Spring Framework and Spring Boot – Creating Backends and Microservices (SPRB1)

Programming, Java, Spring

This course is designed for Java developers who want to familiarize themselves with the Spring Framework environment. The training includes an introduction to the Spring Boot environment, creating REST services, and the possibilities of connecting applications to databases. Key concepts include the Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and REST services.

You will also learn the basics of JPA (Java Persistence API), Hibernate, and automated testing in the Spring Boot environment. You will try creating REST APIs, handling HTTP methods, error handling, and calling remote services. The course concludes with a short project, a REST backend functionality exposed for a client application or microservice. The course is available online and in-person.

THIS TRAINING COURSE WILL HELP YOU:

  • Understand the architecture of the Spring Framework and use Spring Boot autoconfiguration
  • Set up and write REST endpoints with HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)
  • Define JPA entities and database mapping via Hibernate and Spring Data JPA
  • Manage transactions and implement layered architecture (controller-service-repo)
  • Connect the application to a remote REST API – client calls

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

  • Java developers who want to transition from basic Java to Spring Boot
  • Backend developers preparing REST API or microservices in Java
  • Programmers who want to manage persistence using JPA/Hibernate
  • Those who want to write testable REST services and automate testing
  • Architects who need to understand layered architecture and transactions
